This school, situated near the city centre of La Rochelle, in Charente-Maritime, west of France, has got about 500 pupils, aged 11 to 16.

Languages taught are French as mother tongue, English for everybody, Spanish, German, and Chinese for a few, and also Latin and ancient Greek.

Some of our pupils are specialized in analyzing pictures in ICT.

Apart from this, one teacher is in charge of a special section called UPI (Unité Pédagogique d’Intégration) composed of 15 12-year-old in difficulties, who attend a few regular lessons. Five disabled pupils of the school are completely integrated into usual school life, but helped by specialised teachers.

Collège Samuel de Missy hosted the preparatory meeting for this project in December 2008.

The school participated in the Comenius project "Your environment=Eurenvironment".
