Dutch team at Waltershausen, Germany

Hello! I’m Adrianne de Roo and I’m 15 years old. I live in Marum, a little village in the North of Holland. I live there with my parents and my little brother Maurits (he’s 13). I’m in the 3th class of the gymnasium. I always have to cycle 10 km to school and 10 km back. That’s not very amusing. My favorite subjects at school are music, biology, Greek and chemistry. I’ve blond, half-long hear and a bit curly. My eyes are bleu/grey. I have glasses, but I always wear lenses. My hobby’s are playing piano, dancing and skating. I really love music. I also like to do something with my friends or with my family.

Hello, my name is Annet Hoving.

I’m 14 years old. I live in Roden; it’s a small town nearby Groningen. I have blue eyes and blond hair. I have a mother, a father and 3 brothers. All my brothers are out of home. The 2 old ones are twins, they’re 25 years old, and my other brother is 19 years old. One of the twins has got a girlfriend; they are shortly going to marry! I’ve got 2 grandmothers, my grandfathers are deceased. I go to school in Leek: the Lindenborg at the second class, its 30 minutes to cycle. At school I have many friends, they make school fun! At home I have a rabbit called Misty she’s very little, but I love her. My favourite sport is volleyball. I also like to be with my friends and family, shopping, laughing and making a lot of fun!

My name is Chantal and I live in a village called Nietap in the Netherlands. I’m 17 years old, live with my parents and younger sister and we have a cat and a rabbit. I love to design clothes and to write poems. I hope to become a respected designer of alternative fashion. My inspiration source is mainly the Japanese fashion styles, like Lolita Fashion and Takuya Angel. Furthermore I read manga and listen to music like Deathstars, Jesus on Extasy, LMC (Japanese), SUG (also Japanese) and Paramore. I love to be a little bit different than other people, describe myself as an idiot, a little bit chaotic and love to change things often.

My name is Hester Visser and I’m 14 years old. I live in a small town called Leek, near the bigger city Groningen. I was also born in Groningen, on the 20th of January. I’ve got a twin-sister; her name is Sabine. We absolutely don’t look like each other. J My hobbies are singing, playing tennis and reading books. I’ve been interested in other countries and languages for quite a long time. I think it’s very cool to learn more about different cultures and different people. My favourite school subjects are Latin and English. I’m a well organized, spontaneous and enthusiastic person. When I’m in Walterhausen, I hope to learn things I can use in my future profession. (medical doctor in Africa, India, etc.) In that future, when I’m in Africa, I hope to think back to Waltershausen as a fantastic and useful experience! See you in Germany!

My name is Shilene Vonk and I’m 15 years old. I live in Holland in a village called Marum. It’s a nice place to live. I like to draw and paint. And when I do , I make the characters that belong in one of my stories. My music interests are a little different from the normal things. For example, one of my favourite songs is: This is Halloween form Marilyn Manson. I have three cats at home. And I also have a humongous rabbit called Bunny. I can be a very easy person, I’m not upset very quickly and I am good at making new friends.

Hello, my name is Ulrike Zijlstra. I’m fifteen years old and I live in Bakkeveen, a little village near to Leek and Groningen. My hobbies are playing my piano, dancing and just have fun with my friends! On school, my class is busy with the writing project and the music project of Comenius.
