A Welsh pupil writes about his emailing experience:
My name is Bethan Yarrow; I am 14 years old and am currently in my third year at Radyr Comprehensive School in Cardiff. I have really enjoyed taking part in ‘Kaleidoscope’ this year and have most enjoyed the ‘image of the other’ activity. I had a pen-friend in the Netherlands, Chantell, and it was so interesting finding out about her life and what they do at different times of the year. It was exciting waiting for the letter replies for the other countries and we would all sit eagerly in our class while Miss Cowling gave them out for us to read. Sometimes we would read our letter out to the class and compare our lifestyle to theirs in Italy, Spain, The Netherlands and Greece. This was especially interesting over the Christmas period and also finding out how varied the climate is all over Europe! I think I have made a good friend and I would like to carry on this project and make lots more!! Beth x
And here’s the assessment of the activity:
