This project has been a great opportunity to stay together with other students from different countries, to know their costumes, their languages and their school systems. It was my first experience and I was a bit frightened at the beginning because I had to stay in an unknown family who couldn’t speak Italian. I must admit that it was great, funny, educational and also informative. I think I’ve improved my languages, particularly Spanish and English, then I’ve met new pupils with whom I shared amazing moments. Well, the school of Menorca organized some amazing activities: I think the best one was the excursion to get to some beaches...it was a bit tiring but I enjoyed myself at the same time! I hope I will retake part in an another project like this, so I will explore and travel to different places and learn new languages!
Here we were climbing through the red Alaior mountains, I’m the one on the far left with dark blue shorts and my hair up in a pony tale.

It was six days in Spain; the six days I’d been waiting for a very long time!!! It was a fantastic experience, knowing new people, learning about their countries and their culture. I finally met the Dutch girl that I’d been corresponding with all year through English letters at school, she was as nice in person as she appeared to be in her letters. I would love to go back there; we went out in the evenings and most of the afternoons, we went to the beach in May and some friends of mine and I actually went in the water!!! (Something that would never happen in Italy). The sea there was so lovely; it was clean and completely blue, just like the beaches that are on many of the postcards; I took a million photos. What I loved most about it was the fact that I felt like I belonged there; I also loved speaking lots of Spanish, I’d like to think that I improved it quite a bit. The teachers took all the Comenius kids on different excursions one day, I went to see how cheese and wine are made; then tastes a bit of both products, it was great! My point is that we did different activities everyday and so being nearly always divided from your normal friends you get to know new people and it’s a feeling that’s quite hard to describe. I had the time of my life!!

I chose this photo because I love the way the water looks, here we were in "CALA-PREGONDA"; it was a lovely day.

The week spent in Menorca has been a big opportunity for us to live a new experience in a different country, where we had to adapt ourselves to many different cultures and languages. First I was a little bit scared about it because I didn’t know how to behave with the family that hosted me and also how to understand other people that don’t speak Italian, but then everything came naturally in fact I didn’t find so many problems to know new guys in Menorca. I especially really enjoy myself in all the activities and also when I went out with the girl that hosted me and I could understand what a typical teenager of Menorca usually does to have fun and it’s almost the same of the things I do in my town. The excursions were a little bit tiring, but now I can say they were the best moments of this experience because we were all together as a big group. I learned lots of new words in Spanish, I improved my English because I were obliged to use them always for example to ask for something. I’m very enthusiastic about this trip, I can say that I have spent a really good time and I hope to have the chance to repeat such a nice experience one day.
In this photo we are doing a play: "the Pirates of the Carabbean", I am the blonde girl on the left.

Some days ago I participated at the Comenius project, in Menorca. The main aim of this project was meeting people from other countries to discover and understand their cultures and costumes. We were hosted by Menorcan pupils, one European student per house. Every morning we went to school or on excursion, we did different activities in groups and also all together to know each other. First I was a little shy but then I started knowing new people and I really improved the language. The last days I could also understand some Catalan’s words! After school I went out with my Italian friends and our hosting partners. We visited Alaior, Maó and we also went to S. Bou beach. I think Menorca’s seaside is fantastic! Unfortunately, leaving time arrived too early, but we hope to meet our hosting partners again! Menorca… amazing experience!

Here we are all toghether, I am the one with the glasses above to the right.

Last week I spent an unforgettable and amazing week in a wonderful place: Menorca, one of Balearic Island. Everything started when our English teacher told us who was leaving to Spain: so I really hoped to be among the five people in my class and when our teacher appointed me first, I was very happy! I was so proud because I won a journey with my brain! Few days before leaving I was very excited! As soon as I met the girl who hosted me, I felt a little embarrassed, because I have never had this experience, but I felt like I was at home soon. I’m from Argentina, so I got on well very soon with Spanish people and I didn’t have any problems with the language (except Catalan)! Spanish people are very friendly and nice! We did a lot of activities and we visited almost all the island and all the beaches: we went to Cala Pregonda, one of Menorca’s wonderful beaches. I enjoyed myself a lot and I made a lot of new friends, even if I spent just few hours with them! The last day we started to cry: we didn’t want to say goodbye each other, but we promised that we will meet again: Spain, Italy, never mind! I will never forget this trip! Thanks to Comenius Project and all people who worked on it!
Here we are in San Bou, I’m the first girl on the left.
