The German team consists of 12 pupils. Here you can see 7 of them. Because there are a lot of other projects and school exchanges at the moment the other students are currently either in China, Spain or Russia.

Let’s introduce some of the group members:
My name is Anna Rudloff and I’m 17 years old. I live in a small village in the East of Germany near the cities of Jena and Gera. However, I only spend my weekends at home because I study at the “Salzmannschule”, a boarding school that is 100km away from home. In my rare free time I enjoy reading books, taking photos and going outside. I’m interested in many different topics such as modern arts, architecture and foreign cultures. As the majority of people of my age I often listen to music. My favorites are The Beatles, Simon & Garfunkel, Cocoon, Tricot Machine, Flogging Molly and especially soundtracks of movies. Although I am at a school specialized in teaching languages, I still enjoy learning them (English, French, Spanish, Chinese). Therefore, I am interested in getting to know other countries and as I haven’t been to Spain except two days at the border to France, I’m curious to getting to Menorca this May.
Hi! My name is Vanessa Rund and I’m 17 years old. I live in a small town near Erfurt, the capital of Thuringia. I have a little sister but I only see her at the weekends as I study at the “Salzmannschule” where I’m attending the boarding house. When I have some free time I love reading books, listening to music and watching movies with my friends! Actually I don’t know what to study after school, so I would like to spend a year abroad as traveling, learning foreign languages and getting to know other cultures belong to my interests as well. I enjoy my life and keep smiling all day long!
Hi, my name is Lena-Marie Forkel, but my friends call me just Lena. I’m 14 years old and I live in Erfurt, together with my parents and my younger brother Till. In my free time I like meeting my friends and hanging out with them, doing sports like badminton or volleyball and listening to music, especially alternative rock and indie. I’m also very keen on travelling and learning foreign languages. My favourite subjects are English, Music and French. When I’m older I probably want to go to Africa and work as a development worker or something like that. I think I’m open-minded and quite talkative. I’m really happy to take part in the project and I’m looking forward to seeing everybody in May! Lena (:
Hi, my name is Sarah Rudloff and I’m 14 years old. I come from Kleinbocka, a small village in the east of Thuringia, Germany. I study at the Salzmannschule in Schnepfenthal and at the moment I learn the languages English, Chinese, French and also Latin, but the next year I’ll learn Russian as well. I stay at the boarding houses during the week. I love reading books, even though there’s often not enough time to do so. But I also like listening to music, being with my friends and travelling to other countries very much, which is why I can’t wait to come to Minorca. I’m also interested in arts very much and therefore visiting museums and art exhibitions are another hobby of mine. Because I’m a happy and cheerful girl I like laughing quite a lot, although I’m a bit quiet.
Hi, My name is Josepha Walter and I’m a 16 year old girl from Germany. I live together with my parents and my brother Jonathan, who is 8 years old, in a small town called Ohrdruf. It is near Gotha, which is a bigger city. In my free time, I love to listen to music or to go outside with my friends. I think I’m polite, sociable and friendly, but also a bit chaotic and cautious. I like cooking and travelling and also do some shopping. I really enjoy listen to rock and punk music. I’m very excited to make new friends from all over Europe because I want to get to know new cultures and discover other countries! See you in Menorca! Josi.
Hi, my name is Thomas Börner and I am 16 years old. I live together with my parents and my brother in a village in the centre of Thuringia. My parents are both engineers and my brother studies engineering in Ilmenau. I love to travel and to meet new people of all kinds. In my free time I often play football, handball or badminton or just relax in the sun. I often go out with my friends or listen to music, but sometimes I also have to study. I study five languages, which are English, Spanish, Russian, Japanese and Latin. Although my family is technically orientated, I am sure I will do something with languages ;) I am looking forward to meeting you all in Menorca! :D
Hi! My name is Anna Hersener and I’m 15 years old. I’m from Eisenach, a medium sized city in the middle of Germany and in the west of Thuringia. Because Salzmannschule Schnepfenthal is a school specialized in languages I learn English, Latin, Chinese, Spanish and French. In my free time I like to have fun with my friends, to play Volleyball and to play the piano. I take part in the Comenius project, because I like to have international contact to other students and to exchange ideas. Thus, I’m really looking forward to our meeting in Menorca.
Hey, I’m Luisa Kumpitsch, 15 years old (* 10.06.1995) and I live in Tabarz, which is a village near Waltershausen. At my school in Waltershausen I learn English, Latin, Japanese, Spanish and Russian. I have a younger brother who is 12 years old. I really love spending my time with him! In general, I like it, if people are around me, I’m totally optimistic, love laughing, am helpful, open-minded and almost always in a good mood! I love Spanish and the country Spain in general, so I’m looking forward to visit Menorca in May! My hobbies are playing the guitar, doing sports like volleyball, swimming and badminton, listening to music, dancing, reading and meeting friends. I also love watching films, especially love and horror movies! My biggest passion are animals. I love them and I’m very interested in them. At home I have four rabbits, a tortoise, birds, two guinea pigs and a cat. In the future I definitely want to become a veterinary or marine biologist. It would be great to make new friends in Menorca and I’m veeery happy to meet all of you in May!See you soon!
Hi! My name is Anna Purcarea and I am 15 years old. I live together with my family in Gotha, a small town near my school in Schnepfenthal. I am very sociable, quite talkative and funny although sometimes rather shy. My hobbies are playing the piano and the violin in a local youth-orchestra, swimming, dancing as well as reading, meeting my friends and listening to music. At school my favorite subjects are languages (English, French, Italian and Japanese) but also biology and chemistry. I really enjoy travelling and meeting people from all over the world, therefore I am very glad to take part in this Comenius Project meeting in Menorca.
Hi! I’m Katharina Stein and I’m sixteen years old. I live near Erfurt, a German town in Thuringia, but I spend the weeks at the boarding school of the Salzmannschule. There, I learn English, Latin, Japanese, French and Italian. I love to travel, but I haven’t got around too much until now. My hobbies are mainly writing and reading, but I also love music and singing, even though my voice is everything but special. I’m also fond of plenty of other subjects, the only thing I really can’t stand are a few certain kinds of sports. I am a talkative, humorous, open-minded person always ready to make new friends from all over Europe. Just can’t wait to meet you all!
