Snow, cold temperatures and frost dominated Europe in the weeks from January to the middle of February. Freezing temperatures let us ask ourselves where the warming went in these days. According to the media global warming “is not real” anymore. They are misleading our intellect with false information and let us imagine being in false safety. Global warming is still real; the cold is only one adding hint. In fact the cold spell is caused by the warm summer originated by the global warming. The reasons for the abnormal low temperatures lay in the oscillation of the arctic. The arctic produces strong and cold winds which are, in the positive phase, bottled up in the arctic. In the negative phase the winds flow down to Northern America and the north-west of Europe. Because of a warm November the warm air was saturated with water and this water came as the mass of snow, Europe experienced in the beginning of the year. We see, the weather is a complex theme and neither cold nor warmth should be ignored which is often a case of misapprehending people. The help of the media plays hereby an important role and yet there is only a few majority of news clarify the situation correctly and helping the people.
