WOW HORSES
On the 10th of May at 10 o’clock we went to the Alaïor riding club, to do an interview to Juan, a local man who trains horses.

This morning 5 people with different nationalities, had to prepare the questions to ask Juan.

We looked at the horses there and there were many different breeds. Then we took photos of horses and then we started the interview. We asked Juan some questions about his life: When did you start riding ? Cuando empezaste a montar ? Quant vas començar a qualcar ? and he replied: Since he was 6 years old he has had ponies and horses.
How many horses do you have ? Cuantos caballos tienes ? Quants cavalls tens ? How many horses do you look after ? Cuantos caballos cuidas ? Quants cavalls quides ?
Now he has 10 horses in total, and looks after 20.

Do any other people in your family ride horses ? Hay otro miembro de la familia que monte ? Hi ha cap més membre de la familia que qualqui ?
Both his children ride and his wife does too.
How long have you had your own business ? Cuanto tiempo hace que tienes el negocio ? Quant temps fa que tens el negoci ?
He has had his own business for four years.
Where do you buy your horses ? Why ? Donde compraste los caballos y porque ? A quin lloc vas comprar els cavalls i per què ?
He buys his horses in Germany, that he uses for competition. Horses are important in Menorca, because 90% is a Menorcan horse and they use them in the fiestas. The Alaïor fiestas are the 3rd week in August. In the fiestas there are about 70 horses participating.
