CLAUDIA FLORIT

My name is Claudia and I’m 14 years old. I live in Menorca, in a town called Alaior. I live in a house with my parents and my sister. Her name is Rebeca and she’s 17 years old. I’m studying in the IES Josep Miquel Guàrdia and now I’m doing 3rd ESO. I’m a shy girl with people that I don’t know, but I like to meet new friends. My favourite sport is swimming. I like staying on the computer and listening to music. In my free time I also like to go out with my friends.

NICOLE RUIZ

Hello, my name is Nicole. I’m thirteen years old and I live in Menorca. I have brown hair and brown eyes, although sometimes they look green. I’m not very skinny and I’m short. My father’s name is Ramón and my mother’s is Olivia, but I live with my father and his partner Alicia near by the beach. I have a cat called Atila, he’s very fat and grumpy. I’m scared of dogs and I don’t like vegetables, centipedes or feet. I’m an only child, although I’m very close to my cousin. I like to travel and listen to music; my favourite band is Bring Me The Horizon. I love the summer because you’ve got a lot of free time to go to the beach or out with friends and of course, because it’s sunny. I’m a sociable cheerful person, but I can also be very unpleasant even though I try not to be. I’m looking forward to meeting my exchange friend Sarah.

EMMA SINTES

Hello! I’m Emma and I’m 13 years old. I’m from Menorca and I live with my dad, mum, my sister Elisa and my little brother Pau.My sister is 23 years old and my brother is 10 years old. We live in a town called Alaior. I like dancing very much. I do ballet, hip-hop and contemporary dancing. I like pop music, and my favourite singer is Kiley Minogue. I go to I.E.S Josep Miquel Guàrdia, it’s a great school, but sometimes lessons are boring. I can speak 4 languages: Catalan, Spanish, German and English. I like travelling, but in summer I stay in Menorca, because the beaches are so good!. I love animals, I’ve got 2 pets: One bird. My bird’s name is Elmo and I’ve got one cat whose name is Abril, Abril means April in English. . SEE YOU IN MENORCA !

LAIA MELIÀ

I’m Laia and I live in Alaior. My favourite sport is basketball and my hobbies are listening to music, chatting with my friends and playing the guitar. I go to my English lessons twice a week, I go to my flute lessons once a week and I go to Maths lessons once a week. I have basketball training almost every day, on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and on Sundays because we play a game .

MARINA GARRIGA

Hi everybody! I’m Marina.I was born in 1996 so now I’m 14. I live in Alaior, Menorca, a Balearic island. I live with my parents and with my brother Pau aged 18. I am studying third of ESO in Alaior’s high school. After ESO and bachillerato I don’t know what I’ll do but I’d like to go to university and study something related to languages or teaching.

I think I’m talkative, creative and friendly. I go swimming once a week, I play the piano and I love going to the cinema and of course going shopping. In my free time I like listening to music specially pop rock music, surfing the internet, reading books or magazines, hanging out with my friends or playing with my little cat. In the summer I go to the beach as much as I can, nearly every day.

I like meeting new people so I’m looking forward to meeting you all in May!

MARINA SANS

Hello my name is Marina Sans and I’m 13 years old. I have long brown hair and my eyes are green but I’m not very tall. My favourite colour is purple and my favourite singer is Justin Bieber. My hobbies are drawing and dancing. I go to dancing and English lessons. In my free time I meet my friends, I watch TV and I draw. I like travelling with my family. I have a brother, his name is Eduard, my mother is Rebeca and my father is Angel.

PEPE MERCADAL

What’s up! My name is Pepe Mercadal and I’m 16. I’m one of the students who are hosting you in May. I’m in IES Josep Miquel Guàrdia high school, but I don’t live in the same town, so my partner and I will come to school by bus every day. I live near a little town, Migjorn Gran. My friends and I call it Migjorn Empire, because we are very patriotic! The town where the school is, is called Alaior. I live with my parents (Toni and Elena) and my sister Lola. Physically I’m very tall (1,90 m) and thin. I think I’m a good boy, but a little crazy. I’m open-minded and I love meeting new people from other countries. So, Comenius is perfect for me. I have participated in more Comenius projects; I hosted a French boy in 2008 and I travelled to Leek in 2009. Holland was a fantastic meeting, and there I met Matteo, an Italian boy who now is one of my best friends. Last summer I visited him in Italy! In my free time I like to play football with my friends. My favourite football team is FC Barcelona, the best of the world! My favourite hobby is music. I play the horn in a music band. This band is called Banda de Música des Migjorn Gran, and it’s considered the best music band in Menorca. I like Rock, Indie, Jazz, Hip hop, Rap and some Classical music. In the future I would like to study in the university in Madrid. I want to study two degrees: History and Politics. I love History! I would like to live in another country, like USA or England, because my favourite cities are New York and London. Finally I want to hope you a good time in Menorca in May. It’s a very beautiful.

RUTH SINTES

My name is Ruth Sintes Villalonga, I’m 15 years old, I’m in 3rd of ESO in the high school IES Josep Miquel Guàrdia (I always walk to school). I live in a little town call Alaior (Menorca). I’m happy to take part in this project. I live with my mum, dad and my little sister, she’s 6 years old. We live in a house in the center of the town.

I’m not very tall, Im thin and I have got brown straight hair and brown big eyes. I usually dress in fad, but I have my own taste. My hobbies are drawing, in fact, I go to drawing classes every Friday. I like playing the piano and the acoustic guitar. My favourite music group are Green day, Coldplay,Red Hot Chilly Peppers and R.E.M.. But I like all kinds of good music. I like sports, but I don’t practice any. I go to English class twice a week. My favourite subjects are Art, Biolgy and Maths.

TONIA ARNAU

My name is Tònia and i’m 14, I was born on 1st of February in 1997. I live in Alaior, it’s very beautiful. I like living in Menorca because it is a small island and there is no danger.There are many beaches. I love swimming, dancing, listening to music and singing, of course. I’ve got two sisters, they are older than me, the oldest is 23 years old and the other one is 22. I live with my parents and one of my sisters. I love travelling, two years ago I went to Italy, it was very good. I like reading books of mystery and adventure, but mostly romantic novels. I do acrobatic dance, but I don’t know too much because I started this year.

AURA FOGUET

My name is Aura Foguet and I’m 15 years old. I’m in IES Josep Miquel Guàrdia, in Alaior, but I don’t live in the same town as my school, I live in Mao, another Menorcan town. I live with my mother, his name is Mandi. My father liveS in another house because they’re separated. I have a sister too, but she lives in Barcelona because she’s studying there. I am one of the hosts of this project and someone will stay in my house during this project.

I’m normal in size(1’69 aprox) and I’m thinnish. I’m a good girl and I’m always laughing. I have never hosted a student in my house from a project like this one.

In the afternoons, I play badminton, a sport I have been playing for many years. When I can, I play basketball.

In a few years time, I would like to study Audiovisuals in Madrid or in Barcelona. After that I’d like to live out of Spain, like in the USA or in Australia.

I hope we have good time when you come. Menorca is very beautiful and the beaches are amazing.

Hello! My name is Nina and I’m 16 years old. I am studying third of ESO in Alaior’s high school. I live in a town called Alaior, in a flat with my parents and my small brother, Robert, who is 12 years old. In my free time I like reading books or magazines. I really like music, I play the piano and the violin and I like listening to music. I like dancing and I practice hip-hop twice a week I go to English classes, too.

JESSI MORENO

Hi, my name is Jessi, I’m 17 years old; I live in a flat in Alaior (Menorca) with my father (Pascual); my mother (Antonia) and my brother, whose name is Pascual too; he’s 11 years old. I’m a little shy when I don’t know the people very much, but my friends say I’m a nice and optimistic person. I’m thin but I’m not very tall. I don’t do any sports because I “haven’t got time”. In my free time I like chatting on the net, listening to music, meeting my friends, reading, taking photos, watching TV… Sometimes I cook too. I participate in this project because I think it’s a nice and beautiful experience =) See you! =)
