Rsg de Borgen is a regional school with about 2500 pupils divided over 6 locations, in three villages. A "borg" is an old Dutch word for a reinforced house, sometimes surrounded by a moat or ditch. In Leek there still is a real "borg", named Nienoord. So in Leek we have the Oldeborg, the Nijeborg and the Lindenborg (see picture);

In Roden (about 4 km) we have the Ronerborg and the Esborg and in Grootegast (about 10 km) there is the Woldborg.

The Dutch team is composed of the following teachers:

Jaap Bolhuis, coordinator, science teacher JAAP

Jan Wubbema, music teacher JAN

Menke Helder-de Hoop, English teacher

Suzan Velting, German and geography teacher.
